Fruit juice concentrates are the result of careful processing procedure. The fresh juice obtained by pressing the fruits is gently filtered and then concentrated by evaporation of the water content.

In the production of concentrates, the natural water content of the fruit juice is extracted through vaporisation. The Brix content of the concentrate varies according to the quantity to be extracted.

One benefit of producing a concentrate is that of a reduction in weight and volume for transportation, as the concentrate can be reconstituted at the time of usage by the addition of the solvent.
